Providers and Professionals

We can help you cover the cost of treatment for those patients without the ability to pay for care. Also, eligible Network Providers receive:

  • Training to prescribe buprenorphine and technical assistance with the DEA X-waiver process
  • Coaching and consultation for medication for opioid use disorder treatment
  • Access to technology-based wraparound services and online educational, treatment and recovery resources.

SHOUT Texas is a program at Dell Medical School at The University of Texas at Austin in partnership with Be Well Texas at UT Health San Antonio working to increase access to substance and opioid use disorder (OUD) treatment and harm reduction during acute hospitalization in Texas.

Our scientists and physicians from the Be Well Texas research team, are funded by the National Institutes of Health. Through our leadership in the National Institute on Drug Abuse Clinical Trials Network, the Peer Recovery Innovation Network and participation in industry-sponsored trials, we are leading the way in Texas to develop the treatments of tomorrow.
